Amsterdam on Foot and on budget

The Jordaan is a tranquil part of the city, crammed with canal house, old and new galleries, restaurants, cafes. My walk starts at Westerkerk along enchanting canals. What luck! It's Monday morning...the local flea market is open.

All photos taken by my digital camera, Canon IXUS400. It was handy to slip inside my pocket to avoid looking like a tourist during my walks.

My second walk begins at the Schereirdtoren along Prins Hendrikkade. I follow the narrow streets and over canal bridges looking at converted wharves, warehouses and houses built to accomodate the flourishing trade of yesteryears.

I continue with my window shopping...
